Senior Information Technology / Business Intelligence Officer at a Health Insurance Agency

Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate IT personnel tasks to ensure that servers are running at all times, and that the latest security updates are loaded.
• Ensure all network-related and security policies, are implemented and followed as outlined in ICT and IS policy documents.
• Manage and control access to all database systems within the Organisation, ensuring that only authorised users are able to access databases (both internal and external/ third-party users).
• Ensure that regular backups of all databases are made.
• Monitor network bandwidth and plan and implement most feasible solutions, for optimal usage.
• Manage and co-ordinate IT personnel to ensure that all user supports tickets, are acted upon within stipulated SLA times.
• Manage and develop manuals for standardization of procedures, and data quality control.
• Ensure that all user manuals, procedures and policies are up to date, and available for users at all times.
• Manage third-party vendors/service providers, and ensure that any stipulated SLAs are followed 
• Manage data governance 
• Study and maximise data quality 
• Conduct business intelligence using data
• Establish business performance metrics 
• Maintain data security and privacy
• Present monthly reports, showing IP address activity logs, user and feature trends etc.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of eight years experience with at least five years in Information Technology Management 
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Relevant professional certification e.g. MCSE, MS SQL Server, Oracle DB.
• Member of the Computer Society of Nigeria, or other relevant official body will be an added advantage 
• Experience in system development, database design, development, maintenance and security is essential 
• Project management experience would be an added advantage 
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
