    In-House Lawyer

    Job Summary

    • Are you a skilled lawyer with expertise in real estate, corporate, and contract law? We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented in-house lawyer to join our team who can ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and protect the company’s legal interests.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Real Estate Transactions: Draft, review, and negotiate property contracts, lease agreements, and purchase agreements.
    • Legal Compliance & Advisory: Ensure company operations comply with real estate laws, corporate regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage all legal documents, including MOUs, NDAs, and service agreements.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure all real estate transactions and company operations align with Nigerian laws.
    • Dispute Resolution & Litigation Support: Handle legal disputes, negotiate settlements, and represent the company in legal proceedings when necessary.
    • Title Verification & Due Diligence: Conduct land and property title searches, verify property ownership, and ensure legitimacy before transactions.
    • Corporate Governance: Advise management on legal rights, responsibilities, and obligations.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
    • Legal Correspondence: Draft legal notices, respond to legal inquiries, and maintain legal records.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL).
    • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in real estate law, corporate law, or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian real estate laws, land use regulations, and corporate governance.
    • Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiations, and legal advisory services.
    • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and handle multiple legal matters simultaneously.
