HVAC Technician – Maintenance (Supply Chain Department) at Big Bottling Company

About the Role

• We’re looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our Maintenance team within the Supply Chain Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all plant HVAC systems — ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and comfort across our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems including chillers, compressors, AHUs, cooling towers, and ventilation units.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation system faults.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate HVAC components and controls.
• Monitor and log operational parameters to ensure system efficiency and compliance.
• Clean filters, ducts, and cooling units to maintain performance standards.
• Support maintenance of ammonia/glycol refrigeration systems (where applicable).
• Maintain accurate records using CMMS/work order systems.
• Keep workshop tools and work areas organized and clean.
• Support energy-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and GMP standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical Certificate, Diploma, OND, or HND in Refrigeration, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance — preferably within a bottling plant, FMCG, or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, air conditioning systems, and industrial chillers.
• Familiarity with ammonia or industrial refrigeration systems is an added advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
