    Human Resources Officer (Mid-Level)

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Human Resources Officer to join our team. 
    • This mid-level role is ideal for a candidate with a solid background in HR operations, particularly in payroll management, employee benefits, and compliance.
    • You'll be responsible for supporting the HR department across a range of functions such as recruitment and employee relations, payroll processing, taxes and pension remittances, and HMO administration. 
    • Experience in a structured manufacturing or FMCG environment will be a strong advantage.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Handle end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
    • Manage statutory deductions and remittances, including PAYE, pensions, and other employee taxes.
    • Administer employee benefits such as HMO enrollment and updates.
    • Maintain accurate HR and payroll records for auditing and reporting purposes.
    • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation.
    • Monitor attendance, leave, and timesheets to ensure correct payroll inputs.
    • Support performance appraisal exercises and training coordination.
    • Serve as a point of contact for staff on HR and policy-related matters.
    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and internal company policies.
    • Assist in organizing staff engagement activities and employee communications.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years of relevant HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG company.
    • Strong experience in payroll, PAYE, pension, and HMO administration is a must.
    • Good understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and compliance practices.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and HR/payroll software.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be based in Lagos or willing to relocate
