    Human Resources Officer

    Job Summary

    • The HR Officer will support the daily operations of the Human Resources department by administering HR policies, procedures, and programs.
    • The role involves maintaining employee records, facilitating recruitment processes, onboarding, performance management support, payroll coordination, and promoting a positive organizational culture.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in talent acquisition processes including posting job ads, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
    • Maintain and update employee records (soft and hard copies) in compliance with HR best practices and data protection laws.
    • Support the execution of employee engagement initiatives and internal communication activities.
    • Facilitate employee onboarding, orientation, and documentation processes.
    • Administer and monitor leave, attendance, and time-off schedules.
    • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc.) and liaise with Finance when necessary.
    • Support the performance appraisal process and ensure timely documentation and feedback collation.
    • Monitor HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, absenteeism) and assist in preparing monthly HR reports.
    • Support compliance with labor laws and company policies.
    • Provide general administrative support to the HR department and handle HR-related queries and requests from employees.
    • Coordinate training and development activities.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar HR role, preferably in the energy or oil and gas sector
    • Professional certification in HR (CIPM,CIHRM, PHRi, SHRM) is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS software.
