    Human Resource Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Human Resource Manager role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organisations human resource operations by developing and enforcing vibrant human resource policies and processes within the scope of the HR Value Chain.

    Key Result Areas (KRA)
    The key result areas of this role are:

    HR Business Partnering:

    • Align business objectives with employees and management in designated business units while formulating partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service and integrated solutions to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
    • Efficiently manage the human resource function within approved budget and resource allocation.
    • Function as an internal HR consultant to the operating companies within the group.

    Recruitment, Selection and On-boarding:

    • Execute regular workforce planning exercises.
    • Organize and execute recruitment process from employee requisition through to selection and placement.
    • Design and implement an on-boarding program that introduces new hires to the Lily Hospital culture and work environment.

    Performance Management:

    • Support employees in understanding the existing performance management system.
    • Coordinate the execution of every step of the performance management system.
    • Amicably settle any and all issues that may arise out of the performance appraisal process.

    Learning and Development:

    • Support line manager in identifying individual employee competency gaps and training needs.
    • Conduct regular training needs analysis and develop organization wide yearly training plan to address identified competency gaps for all employees.
    • Provide management with detailed analysis of return on learning investment and return on training expectation.

    Human Resource Administration:

    • Efficiently manage employee records and data administration
    • Manage organizational payroll, pension, healthcare and benefits administration.
    • Provide regular communication updates on employee and employment related information to all employees and organization stakeholders.

    Conflict / Dispute Resolution:

    • Establish internal conflict/dispute/grievance resolution policies and processes based on the provisions of the Nigeria Labour Law.
    • Support management in resolving conflicts by efficient and uniform implementation of conflict resolution policies in all cases.
    • Provide advisory services to line managers on all disciplinary cases, conflict resolution and dispute settlement within the organization

    People Management:

    • Establish appropriate work and time plans for all staff in the department to maximize the efficient use of staff time and resources.
    • Support staff members in developing the knowledge and skills of existing staff.
    • Review the performance and competence of staff through annual appraisal, identifying training needs and arranging for its provision

    The Person

    • A Bachelor’s (B.Sc.) Degree in any relevant Social Science or business degree is required for this role.
    • 7 to 10 years relevant work experience preferably in the Health or FMCG sector, three (3) of which must have been spent at managerial level.
    • A working knowledge of relevant National Labour Laws is required for this role.
    • Membership of relevant professional bodies such as CIPM and any other relevant bodies is required for this role
    • Knowledge of the Microsoft office package
    • Excellent, negotiation, communication, business presentation and people management skills.
