Coordinates and implements integrated HSES Management systems for a site or project.
Advises and offers solution to Site Managers in all aspects of HSES Risk Management.

Operators are comfortable to stop the job and speak to Supervisor for clarity of the activity.
Employees are expected to remove risk prior to starting an activity.

Job Description
Forecasts, plans, schedules, and supervises work of the HSES team on Sites.
Manages local HSE team (competency, training, career progression…)
Promotes proactive interactions with site managers to ensure that QHSE matters are effectively managed according to standards.
Assist Site HSE reps in reviewing all site accidents and assist in the coordination of accident investigations.
Maintains Site Safety and Security Program, insuring it remains current with local regulations and accepted industry practices.
Monitors site HSES compliance with government, client, and company policy; conduct periodic safety audits.
Helps in defining site objectives and metrics (KPI), ensures reporting is in place, analyzes performance, proposes corrective or improvement actions and reports.
Provides for and supervises site safety and security reporting and the acquisition, maintenance, and dissemination of safety and security data and statistic.
Ensures that a system is in place whereby only approved suppliers and sub-contractors are used.
Reviews and arranges for the provision of site safety and security equipment and training required.
Preparation of monthly report and distribution in a timely manner.
Creates and plans ways to reduce occasions of risks.
Ensures distribution of alerts and guidance as required and issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
Ensures best practices are reported to Africa HSE level and that Africa HSE best practices are applied in Nigeria as required.
Ensures knowledge on both Subsea Services and Subsea Projects is shared across the HSE team.
You are meant for this job if:
Engineering degree or Equivalent degree in relevant discipline with minimum 10 years HSE experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
Related HSE Training and certification
Previous experience on site fabrication and installation activities
Demonstrate exceptional negotiation, motivating and planning abilities.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental goals.
Possess effective leadership ability within a team environment.
Ability to work with a multicultural team, with Clients & Subcontractors.
Maintain the ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently and changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
