Environmental Manager at Odun Environmental Limited (OEL)

Job Summary

• We are currently seeking a highly competent and experienced professional to join our team as Environmental Manager.
• The Environmental Manager will lead our environmental projects, ensure full regulatory compliance, and drive sustainable solutions for clients across oil & gas, industrial, government and private sectors.
• This is a strategic role responsible for overseeing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), waste management initiatives, environmental studies, Laboratory operations co-ordination and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), environmental audits, and monitoring projects.
• Develop and implement robust environmental management systems, EMP and policies.
• Oversee waste management programs, including design and execution of treatment and remediation solutions.
• Coordinate environmental studies, baseline surveys, and pollution control projects.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies (e.g., NESREA, NUPRC, FMEnv) to secure approvals and maintain compliance.
• Support business development through technical proposals and client engagement.
• Champion sustainability and renewable energy initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree an advantage) in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years verifiable post-qualification experience in environmental services.
• Strong expertise in EIA/ESIA, Waste Management, Environmental Studies, or Environmental Project Management.
• Professional certifications (e.g., IEMA, NESREA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
• Proven track record of managing environmental projects in Nigeria, preferably in the oil & gas or industrial sectors.
• Excellent leadership, communication, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver under pressure.
• Willingness to travel and work across project locations.
