HR Generalist at SENCE Nigeria

Job Summary

The selected candidate will have the responsibility of developing and administering human resources plans and procedures that relate to the company’s personnel such as managing payroll, maintaining employee records including contracts and work permits; risk management; monitor work-related injuries etc. and ensure that our employees are engaged, well-trained and productive so that they provide excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunity for promotion and employee benefits.
• Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
• Maintain the work structure of the organization and ensures the job descriptions aligns with the job requirements for all cadres of workers
• Evaluates the relationship of employees with the organization and customers at large
• Maintain all issues related to clients, customers and members of staff by providing counseling services to them
• Prepare and follow budgets for personnel operations without jeopardizing guest satisfaction and quality
• Maintain and help enforce the agreed brand standards for each unit by conducting and managing monthly audits
• Liaise with the sales team to collate and respond to all customer correspondence and ensures that feedbacks are communicated to the entire team where and when appropriate
• Operate within efficient labour budgets for each season, tracking labour spending and providing input regarding capital projects and initiatives
• Manages the growth and success of the team
• Take full responsibility for managing and meeting all committed budgets related to the Staff Restaurant
• Review service delivered to ensure KPIs are met and take up any shortcomings with suppliers
• Provide constant leadership, counselling, advice and feedback to the employees
• Manage the performance management system
• Encourage an environment of openness and trust, with constant feedback and performance coaching

Requirements

• First degree in Business Administration, Personnel Management or relevant field
• Must have been practicing for a minimum of  6 years in similar role in health sector
• Professional certification such as CIPD, CIPM, SHRM etc. will be an added advantage
• Good knowledge about labour/employment relations
• Be a strong change agent
• Strong Leadership quality with an ability to Motivate Others
• Possess top-notch organization ability
• Ability to multitask and excel on several assignments at the same time
• Ability to resolve disagreements and complaints among members of staff
• Ability to negotiate with clients, management, and employees
• Possess excellent communication skills, verbally, and also in written form
• Ability to implement the ethics and rules of the organization
