    Hotel Manager

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel in Gwarimpa, Abuja.
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent guest experiences, optimizing business performance, and maintaining high hospitality standards. 
    • This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to manage a diverse team efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments (front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, security, and maintenance) function efficiently
    • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by maintaining excellent service standards and resolving complaints promptly
    • Implement and monitor quality control measures for cleanliness, service delivery, and overall hotel ambiance
    • Develop and enforce hotel policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
    • Monitor hotel revenue and expenses, preparing financial reports to ensure profitability
    • Develop strategies to increase occupancy rates, revenue per available room (RevPAR), and overall profitability
    • Manage budgets, control operational costs, and negotiate with vendors to optimize expenses
    • Work with the sales and marketing team to develop promotional strategies, corporate partnerships, and event hosting opportunities
    • Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for improvement
    • Motivate and develop employees through ongoing training programs and career growth opportunities
    • Ensure the hotel complies with health, safety, and regulatory standards, including food safety, fire safety, and sanitation protocols
    • Work with security personnel to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff
    • Maintain a strong presence within the hotel, interacting with guests to gather feedback and enhance the guest experience
    • Oversee the hotel’s online reputation by managing guest reviews and responding professionally to feedback on platforms like Google, TripAdvisor, and social media.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc, HND in Hospitality Management, Business management or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in the hospitality industry with at least 2 years leadership experience in a 3 or 4 star hotel role
    • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest services, and financial management
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Experience using hotel management software and reservation systems
    • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and maintain high service standards
    • Understanding of hospitality regulations and safety procedures.
