    Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Officer to drive health, safety, and environmental compliance across our operations.
    • The ideal candidate will ensure a safe working environment for staff, contractors, and host communities while supporting regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and standards across all sites
    • Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits
    • Ensure compliance with Nigerian HSE regulations and company standards
    • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
    • Deliver HSE inductions, trainings, and toolbox talks
    • Monitor contractor compliance with HSE requirements
    • Prepare regular HSE reports and performance metrics
    • Promote environmental sustainability and safe work practices

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Maintain zero workplace fatalities
    • Achieve <1.0 Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR)
    • Ensure 100% incident reporting within 24 hours
    • Deliver 295% HSE training compliance for staff and contractors
    • Maintain audit compliance Score
    • Achieve 298% PPE compliance across all sites
    • Close 295% Of corrective actions within agreed timelines

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degrec in Engineering. Environmental Science, or related field
    • 2-4 years of HSE experience (energy, construction, or engineering preferred)
    • Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH) are an added advantage
    • Strong kno,vledge of HSE regulations and best practices
    • Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work across multiple project sites
