Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Assistant at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

To assist the Safety Health Environment (SHE) Manager in the implementation of global best practices in safety, health and environment programmes or activities.

THE JOB

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and escalate any potential risks related to accidents, fire outbreaks, or hazards, ensuring timely response and preventive measures.
• Ensure that all environmental and safety equipment are in proper working condition; maintain accurate inventory and status reports as required.
• Supervise the disposal of solid and general waste to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Monitor factory operations to enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and address any deviations.
• Educate and counsel employees on the importance of maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

THE PERSON MUST

• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify potential risks and hazards.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Have Excellent risk assessment and hazard identification skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

• O.ND in Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related science disciplines.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
