    Health Assistant

    Role Summary

    • The Health Assistant plays a crucial supporting role in the provision of high-quality, compassionate patient care. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of registered nurses, assisting with patient comfort, hygiene, and monitoring to ensure a safe and healing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist nurses in providing personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance.
    • Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse immediately.
    • Assist with the collection of specimens and ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
    • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in patient rooms, ensuring a sterile and safe environment.
    • Accurately record and document all care provided in patient charts, strictly adhering to documentation SOPs.
    • Assist with the preparation of equipment and supplies for medical procedures as directed by nursing staff.
    • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and compassionate communication with patients and their families.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Minimum of SSCE or relevant healthcare certification.
    • Prior experience working in a clinical or hospital setting is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated understanding of basic health and safety regulations.
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and promptly.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • High sense of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to teamwork.
