    Head of School

    Job Summary

    The Head of the School serves as the leader of the school, responsible for its daily operation and carrying out the board-established mission and vision. The Head of School is responsible for collaborating, monitoring, and reporting on the financial health, spiritual climate, academic standards, and development of the school, providing leadership to faculty and working with the management teams to direct and oversee the operation of the school.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for ensuring the achievement of the school’s highest possible educational and spiritual standards.
    • The Head of School builds, trains, and leads a highly qualified faculty and staff, and together they attend to the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical growth of each child
    • The Head of the School will supervise the effective development of the school’s educational program, increase enrollment and retention, manage finances, and provide input to the Board of Trustees on these initiatives.
    • Overseeing day-to-day operations, while prayerfully and discreetly helping to mitigate any conflict that arises within the school community.

    Curriculum 

    • To be responsible for maintaining and developing a broad, balanced, and cohesive curriculum suitable for all of the children and meeting national guidelines. 
    • To ensure that the curriculum is regularly reviewed, evaluated, and applied. 
    • To ensure that the assessment requirements of the curriculum are appropriately carried out.

     Children 

    • To ensure that children receive high-quality education designed to promote excitement, enjoyment, and enthusiasm in learning, leading to the pursuit of excellence. 
    • To ensure equality of opportunity for all, through the school’s policies, procedures, and practices. 
    • Ensure that each child’s progress is monitored and recorded so that the most appropriate decisions can be taken concerning the next step in his/her education. 
    • To ensure that the activities in which children are engaged are conducted in a caring, disciplined, safe, and healthy environment. 
    • To ensure all children are valued as individuals and ensure that all children are confident and able to achieve their full potential. 
    • To maintain a school environment and pastoral programme in which the needs and values of individual children are recognized and which also contribute positively towards their spiritual, social, cultural, and moral development.

    Finance

    • To assist with the day-to-day management responsibility for the allocation of the delegated budget to all areas of school life and to operate within the strategic vision.
    • To ensure the day-to-day financial management of the school is conducted under the Financial Regulations approved by the Governing Body.
