    Head of Project Control


    • To manage the project control resources required to deliver multiple million-dollar cross-functional projects.
    • The Head of Project Controls is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of project controls to ensure successful project execution.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders including project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project success.


    Project and Program Management & Controls

    • Provide project control management, baseline schedule development, and management.
    • Provide performance status and report baseline change control, risk management, and earned value management guidance and tools.
    • Advise and consult on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost, schedule variance, estimate at completion, and critical path analysis).
    • Support and advise on the definition of Project Controls and Earned Value Management policies, procedures, and the standards required to deliver projects.
    • Oversee the development of integrated master schedules for specific projects in Primavera and/or Microsoft Project that reflect all interface milestones and activity durations from disciplines and subcontractors’ schedules (where applicable) and feed changes to the integrated master schedule.
    • Monitor and control project compliance with respect to contractual obligations.
    • Ensure project control processes are consistently applied across projects as well as manage governance to ensure robust cost and schedule performance for the agreed Scope of Work.
    • Manage all Project control resources across all projects for optimum performance.
    • Monitoring of work progress for the preparation and follow-up of client Valuation in line with agreed Milestones or Value of Work Done (VOWD)
    • Ensures proper change management throughout the project phases.
    • Preparation and supporting of the process of various Claims and Variations for the contract and followed up to approval


    • Prepares timely and accurate internal and external project progress reports.
    • Maintain Project schedule and cost management updates
    • Report Milestones Projects progress, Documentation, Procurement and Billing
    • Provide quality review and report on the progress of sub-vendors and sub-contractors regarding schedule and delivery.
    • Support the project managers with progress reporting, including schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Participate in Monthly Progress Reporting; Planning, monitoring, and integrating the procurement schedule with the integrated Project Schedule
    • Generate Progress Monitoring System (PMS) for the entire project
    • Flag slippages and any other incipient showstoppers on the project execution and provide prevention or recovery plan(s).
    • Report and discuss the progress of each project, staffing needs, schedule changes, project scope adjustments, and more.


    • Take full responsibility and adherence to all Safety rules, regulations, and policies.


    • Educational requirement; Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
    • Experience; Minimum 15 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability, including the ability to motivate a team toward a shared goal.
    • Understand CPM scheduling concepts and principles and can develop basic engineering, procurement, and construction logic-driven schedules.
    • Computer Usage: Primavera Project Planner (P6) - up to Release 22.1, Primavera Risk Analysis, Microsoft Project, SureTrack, MapInfo, Conciel, MS Office Suite, MS Visio, AutoCAD, SQL Server 2000, some Oracle, CorelDraw, Pipesim, DWSim, Aspen Hysis, Adobe Page maker etc.; HTML, JavaScript, Macromedia application packages
    • Experience in the implementation of Earned Value Management based Project Control systems.
    • Effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
    • Effective analytic and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Basic experience and understanding of estimating.
    • Good interpersonal and collaborating skills.
    • Good organization and prioritization skills to execute work accurately and largely self-directed, handle multiple priorities, and analyze reports and trend activities.
