    Head of Programs

    The Nigerian College of Agribusiness (NCA) is inviting applications from experienced, academically grounded, and vibrant professionals for the position of Head of Programs. This strategic leadership role oversees all academic and professional programs of the College, spanning doctoral to professional certification levels.

    This position requires a PhD holder with excellent research competence, strong academic leadership, proven communication and public speaking abilities, and the maturity to work independently.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide academic and program leadership for all NCA postgraduate, professional and certification programs. 
    • Coordinate faculty recruitment, scheduling, class delivery, assessments, and academic compliance
    • Develop, review, and enhance curriculum for both academic and professional programs
    • Manage all professional and executive training programs across NCA’s Centres, ensuring high-quality delivery and participant satisfaction
    • Oversee research supervision processes and uphold academic integrity for doctoral and master’s programs
    • Lead the development, management, and publication of NCA’s journals, academic papers, and professional publications
    • Represent NCA confidently at academic events, conferences, outreach activities, and partnership meetings
    • Supervise Centre Executives in academic matters and ensure alignment between Centre programs and institutional academic standards
    • Oversee national training activities, including field programs in the North and South, ensuring smooth academic coordination
    • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
    • Drive academic innovation, research initiatives, and the development of new program offerings for the institution
    • Ensure efficient operation of all academic and professional programs without direct founder involvement

    Requirements

    Essential Requirements

    • PhD degree (mandatory) in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field. 
    • Strong academic research background with evidence of publications or academic writing
    • Proven experience in program coordination, academic administration, skills-based learning or higher education leadership
    • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
    • Strong leadership qualities with proven ability to lead teams and manage faculty
    • High confidence, vibrancy, and ability to work independently without supervision
    • Must be residing in or willing to relocate to Ibadan or its environs
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex academic schedules and deliver under pressure

    Desirable Skills

    • Experience with postgraduate programs or research supervision
    • Experience in professional training, consulting, or capacity development
    • Familiarity with journal management or editorial roles
    • Ability to innovate and develop new academic or professional programs
