Head of Medical Records Department at Immaculate Heart of Mary Specialist Hospital

Job Role:

• We are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking professional to lead our Medical Records Department, overseeing a fully digitalized medical records system. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient management of patient information in line with best practices, regulatory requirements, and the hospital’s long-term strategic objectives.

What you will do:

• The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling IHM Specialist Hospital to achieve its mission by transforming patient data into meaningful insights that support clinical decision-making, improve service delivery, and identify emerging health and medical trends. The Medical Records Department comprises the Medical Records Unit, Hospital Reception, and Customer Support Unit, all of which fall under the leadership of this role.
• The Head of Medical Records Department reports directly to the Chief Information Management Officer (CIMO) and is expected to provide strong leadership, drive continuous improvement, and foster effective collaboration across departments.

Who we want:

• The ideal candidate must be a qualified Health Information Manager with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in a structured healthcare institution, with proven competence in digital health records management.
