Head of Engineering at iRecruiters Africa Limited

• This is a supervisory role within the Project Management Office; the role requires the development of engineering strategies for projects, working with other members of the PMO Unit and Operations Department. Please note that while the job is location-based, it also necessitates site visits to project locations for data harvesting and feedback

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in the engineering field, degree in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred
• A master's degree in engineering management, technical management, or business administration may be an added advantage
• Any project management certification may be an advantage.
• COREN Registration is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on engineering design, 5 years in a supervisory or management position, total of 15 years’ experience.
• Working knowledge of engineering practices and procedures in the oil and gas industry would be an advantage.
• Proven supervisory and technical skills.
• Must be emotionally intelligent.
• Hands-on working knowledge of most structural and civil engineering design tools, and must have working knowledge of the Microsoft suite.
• Must be technologically proficient with the following tools - STAAD PRO, PROKON, TEKLA, AUTOCAD, SAP2000, AUTODESK REVITS, PROTA, POWER BI
• Must understand and practice the development of subordinate engineers and interns.
