Develop and implement a comprehensive legal and compliance strategy that aligns the Group’s overall business objective
Organise and service meetings (producing agendas and taking minutes) for the Board of Directors
Coordinate annual general meetings for the Group and other statutory meetings as required
Advise the Board on all aspects of the Group’s strategic development
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and providing sound legal advice on legal obligations and implications on business conduct, transactions, and policies.
Review contracts to identify clauses that may unduly expose the Group to risks and oversee negotiations for their resolution
Draft and review correspondence, agreements and other legal documents in all contractual negotiations and arrangements
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Minimum of ten (10) years’ cognate experience with at least five (5) years’ in a Senior Management role (experience in Group or HOLDCO structure will be an advantage)
Relevant professional qualifications (NBA, ICSA etc.)
Experience in financial industry, listed company or capital market space
In-depth knowledge of local and global financial markets
