Head Chef at West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE)

Job Summary: 

Our Client is Seeking to hire an experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and healthy meals for children, and be able to accommodate various dietary needs and restrictions. The Head Chef will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, and overseeing kitchen operations to ensure the highest quality of food and service.

Salary: N150,0000 - N200,000

Responsibilities:

• Plan and develop menus that appeal to children while incorporating healthy and nutritious options
• Ensure all menu items are prepared to the highest standard of quality, taste, and presentation
• Accommodate various dietary needs and restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, and allergy concerns
• Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
• Oversee food preparation and plating to ensure consistency and quality
• Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors and suppliers

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and recipe development
• Passion for creating healthy and nutritious meals for children
• Experience accommodating various dietary needs and restrictions
• Strong leadership skills and ability to train and manage kitchen staff
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Certification in food safety and sanitation
