Geologist at China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Limited

Responsibilities:

• Conduct geological field investigations and surveys to determine soil, rock, and groundwater conditions.
• Analyze soil and rock samples to assess site suitability for construction projects.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, providing recommendations based on findings.
• Monitor geological conditions during construction to ensure safety and stability.
• Collaborate with engineers to provide geological insights that inform design and construction decisions.
• Ensure all geological risks and hazards are identified and mitigated in the design process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Geology with 2-3 years of experience in geological surveys and fieldwork.
• Proficiency in geological software, field tools, and data analysis techniques.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock formation, and groundwater behavior.
• Ability to work in both field and office environments, often under challenging conditions. 
• Strong technical writing skills for preparing comprehensive geological reports.
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
