Our client, an esteemed Cable Manufacturing company, is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented individual to join their team as a General Manager.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the firm's growth by effectively overseeing all manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the cable manufacturing process, including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
Oversee quality control procedures and ensure all products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
Implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize production efficiency and profitability.
Manage procurement of raw materials and supplies, ensuring timely acquisition at competitive prices.
Lead and develop the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement a strategic plan for the manufacturing division, aligned with the overall company goals.
Manage the capital expenditure budget for the manufacturing department, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and product development.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the manufacturing team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and support employee development plans.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or advanced degree(s)
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership and people management skills..
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and supply chain management.
In Depth understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
Excellent financial acumen and budgeting experience.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and production planning software (a plus)
