Job Summary

• Take full accountability for daily operations of a plastics packaging manufacturing facility. Drive professional discipline, high-urgency performance, and adherence to process standards while managing the entire manufacturing lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plastic packaging manufacturing: blown film extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and converting.
• Optimize OEE by identifying bottlenecks and implementing downtime reduction strategies.
• Minimize material scrap and maximize raw material yields.
• Ensure facility compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory mandates.
• Manage warehouse efficiency, inventory integrity, and finished goods logistics.
• Enforce QA/QC protocols for food-safe and industrial packaging.
• Conduct root cause analyses to reduce defects and customer rejections.
• Cultivate a performance-driven culture with accountability at all levels.
• Create, document, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage factory OPEX and utility consumption within approved budgets.
• Partner with HR on workforce productivity and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial), Polymer Science, or related field. MBA preferred.
• Experience: 10–15 years in manufacturing operations, with 5+ years in senior management within a plastics packaging environment in Nigeria/West Africa.
• Technical: Expert knowledge of extrusion, injection/blow molding, polymer characteristics, and packaging quality standards.
