Job Description

• As a Furniture Factory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our furniture manufacturing facility.
• You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality furniture products, managing a team of skilled workers, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in furnitureproduction, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
Production Oversight:

• Supervise and coordinate all activities within thefactory, including cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing processes.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Implement and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate a team of woodworkers, carpenters, and other production staff.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance the skills and capabilities of the production team.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and address any performance issues promptly.

Quality Control:

• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all wood, metal, and clothing products meet company standards.
• Conduct inspections of finished products and address any defects or deviations from specifications.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to continuously improve product quality.

Safety Compliance:

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing safety guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Investigate and address any safety incidents or concerns promptly.

Inventory Management:

• Oversee the management of raw materials and finished goods inventory.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure an adequate supply of materials.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Coordinate regular maintenance of woodworking machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance staff for timely repairs.
• Ensure all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Communication:

• Communicate production goals, schedules, and expectations to the team.
• Foster open communication channels between production, management, and other departments.
• Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by team members.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Implement initiatives to enhance productivity and streamline production workflows.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in woodwork manufacturing.

Qualifications and Skills

• Candidates should possess HND / B.Sc Degrees in Production, Furniture Design, Architecture, or related fields with 2 - 5 years relevant work experience.
• Proven experience as aFactory Supervisor in a furniture production companyor similar role.
• Strong knowledge of furniture-making processes, techniques, and materials.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe work environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management and quality control practices.
