Freelance Film Maker at a Reputable NGO

Overview

We are seeking a freelance filmmaker based in Jos, Nigeria to produce a 45-minute short film intended for publication on YouTube. The selected filmmaker will be responsible for the entire production process — from casting and location selection to directing, filming, and post-production editing. The final deliverable must be a fully edited, ready-to-publish YouTube video.

Scope of Work

The selected filmmaker will be responsible for:

• Script collaboration and project planning
• Casting of all roles (Maximum of 4 casts)
• Location scouting and selection within Jos and surrounding areas (maximum of two locations)
• Directing and managing the entire shoot
• Filming using professional-grade equipment
• Editing the footage to final cut, including color grading, sound design, and subtitles
• Delivering the final 45-minute video, ready for YouTube upload (MP4, 1080p or higher)

Proposal Requirements

• Interested freelancers must include the following in their proposal:
• Portfolio Links: Include links to previous short films, documentaries, or similar projects (preferably those produced for online platforms such as YouTube).
• Experience Summary: Brief background on your filmmaking experience and ability to mange task to completion 
• Detailed Pricing Breakdown: Provide clear pricing for each phase of the project:
• Pre-production (casting, location scouting, planning)
• Production (filming, direction, crew management)
• Post-production (editing, sound design, color grading, etc.)
• Final delivery (rendering and submission)

Proposed Timeline: Estimated duration for each stage of the project.

Location Confirmation: Confirmation that you are based in Jos, Nigeria, and available for on-site production.

• Demonstrated experience in managing full film production cycles
