Photographer - Ilorin at Foodies Place

The foodie photographer will be responsible for taking pictures of food for packaging, magazine articles, cookbooks, and advertisements.The pictures taken must evoke the delicious smell, texture and taste of the product and this takes a high degree of expertise to get absolutely right every time.

It’s all about getting prospective customers to see our products live and buy into it !

He will also operate the in house studio that is located inside our food court designed to provide diners with an awesome opportunity to document every single moment of their dining, outing, celebration or anniversary outings at our location. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• You’ll be working alongside folks who work in the marketing and packaging departments to ensure that your photos show the product as extremely appealing to prospective customers.
• So you’ll be looking at lighting set ups and other technical aspects of the job.
• You will also be responsible for organizing the set up of the shoot as well as framing the shots. This process is known as food styling and involves the arrangement of the food product to be shot as well as the background such table settings etc. The photographer will be responsible for the live streaming of our daily food porn programme and the cookery classes on multiple social media platforms.
• Our ideal candidate must  have a great deal of background knowledge of the food product on which you’re working and the type of consumer it is aimed at - this will enable you to better understand the promotional needs of the company and what we want to convey from the product shot.

• You’ll be expected to bring out the very best of the food which you are photographing in order to maximize its appeal to customers.
• our candidate should not only be a talented photographer with exceptional technical knowledge but someone with a fine eye for detail able to use their creativity to portray the food and our location at their very best.
• You’ll have to work quickly and accurately to capture the product at its absolute peak.
• This is a job with a lot of variety as no two products are the same.
• As a food photographer, you’ll be meticulous, well organised and technically proficient.

Food Photographer Job Duties

Food photographers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Shooting product shots of food for advertisements or catalogs
• Shooting photos of food for restaurants’ websites, menus, and brochures
• Re-shooting photos that do not meet quality standards or client requests
• Shooting, editing and producing pictures of our diners and photo studio clients while creating the most innovative concepts and output.
• Assisting clients with designing food presentations, choosing props, and helping models pose
• Preparing food and reheating dishes for photo shoots where needed
• Shooting photos of restaurants, bakeries, or other food service establishments for promotional purposes
• Shooting images of food preparation processes, such as chopping ingredients and frying meats
• Following food safety guidelines and using proper sanitation procedures when handling food
• Shooting photos of dishes being prepared in restaurant kitchens or at home
