Financial Analyst at Funtay Global Resources Ltd

Funtay is an energy company providing solutions to the energyindustry. We are seeking a well rounded Financial Analystto join our team in Lagos.

REQUIREMENTS & INFO:

• Must have a BSc or MSc degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any relevant degree

• The candidate must have at least 1 year of solid Financial Analyst experience. Please note that this is a Junior/Intermediate role and best suited for those with 1-3 years of Financial Analyst experience.

• Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in making investment memos and teasers

• The ideal candidate is a self-starter who needs minimal supervision and must have strong analytical and financial skills

• Certifications with relevant bodies such as CFI is a plus

• Candidate should have very strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and research skills

Commercial & Financial Duties

• Create investment memos, proposals, teasers, and other documents needed for investors and lenders
• Create financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting; Scout and prospect for investors
• Support the company in all aspects of commercial decision-making, commercial aspects of contracts, financial control, and aid in contractual negotiations and discussions
• Head capital budgeting, expenditure, project finance tracking, and planning processes
• Generate and run preliminary economic models for commercial justification on capital projects
• Work with multiple departments to ensure that deliverables satisfy business requirements
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, SOPs, and dashboards
• Provide financial and commercial advice to management, driving financial performance through commercially sound decision making and analysis
• Gather market intelligence and research on various industries and communicate pertinent information to relevant groups and individuals to help identify trends impacting Company’s business.
• Perform assigned Management Accounting and Tax Accounting duties

Other Duties

• Identify and cultivate new business opportunity in Africa, especially Nigeria
• Compose proposals/presentations, business plans, conduct research, business analysis, and propose initiatives to drive Company’s expansion plans
• Identify problems within our business (including through using data analysis) and suggest improvements
• Aid in the commercial aspects of bid preparation and partake in project managment. May also lead project management process
• Perform other duties as directed by Management
