    Finance Professional

    FINANCE ROLE

    A reputable and dynamic Abuja hospital requires immediate employment exceptional and career-minded Finance Professional in its Finance Department.

    The Role:

    The work of the Finance Professional involves providing professional accounting services to the company i.e. Management of all financial transactions, Budgeting, Funds Planning and Sourcing, Financial Data Analysis and reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform comprehensive analysis and projection, relating to business or research trends;
    • Oversee the development and monitoring of budgets, projects, general operation, contracts etc;
    • Assist in project financial planning and cost analysis;
    • Analyze financial data to ensure efficient use of resources;
    • Ensure compliance with State and Federal Government regulations and restriction
    • Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the company’s goals and growth plans.
    • Train the Finance, HR and Administration staff and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial and human resources management matters.
    • Work with the CFO on the implementation of strategic financial management.
    • Assess the benefits of all prospective contracts and advise the management on design and implementation matters.
    • Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases have adequate audit trails.
    • Oversee the management and coordination of all financial reporting activities for the company
    • Attend Management and Project meetings.
    • Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the company’s needs.
    • Investigates cost-effective benefit plans and other fringes benefits which the company may offer employees and potential employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals.
    • Assist in the design, implementation and timely calculations of wage incentives, commissions and salaries for the staff.


    Requirements:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of modern accounting theories and practices.
    • Ability to design and install accounting systems
    • Ability to analyze accounting data and financial statement.
    • Initiative, resourcefulness, integrity, thoroughness, accuracy and administrative ability.
    • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
    • Good company organization and planning skills.
    • Financial Analysis and Controls.
    • Business Acumen & Strategic Management.
    • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education

    • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and
    • Should be ACCA or ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) certified.
    • MBA will be an advantage


    Managerial Experience

    • 8 years accounting experience with 4 years in supervisory capacity. 
    • Five years of Corporate Finance experience working with a multinational company will be an advantage.


    SKILLS

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Problem solving skills.
    • Ability to supervise and evaluate employees
    • Must be highly proficient in the use of computer and working knowledge of at least one accounting software
    • Must have knowledge of Financial Modeling and extensive use of spreadsheet to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, statement and/or projections.
