We are looking for driven passionate problem solvers and self-starters to join our team. In this role, you will be ultimately responsible for supporting all tactical and operational duties of the accounting function.
This includes the preparation of accounting schedules, management reporting, statutory reporting , internal and external stakeholder management.
What you’ll do:
Prepare and analyze management account i.e income statements, Statement of financial position, and cash flow statements.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Ensuring all respective support documents such as Pro-forma invoice, invoice and receipts are uploaded to the software
Monthly preparation of bank reconciliations.
Compilation, analysis and preparation of data for financial statements, expenditures, revenues, accounts and reports;
Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions.
Prepare and process journal entries and maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and internal financial policies.
Assist in external and internal audits, providing necessary financial information and supporting documents.
Assist in tax-related matters, including monthly tax filings of withholding tax, VAT and any other statutory remittance.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise professionalism in all financial dealings.
What you’ll need (Requirements):
B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
3-4 years’ experience in an Accounting, Audit, or Finance role
Experience Fintech experience is a must (Mobile money)
Reporting skills is also required
Demonstrated interest in the FinTech or alternative financial services operators, peculiarities, and nuances
Professional Certification (ACA, ACCA)
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent knowledge of Accounting Software (Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, etc)
