    Finance and Administrative Officer

    A women-focused NGO is currently recruiting for the position of Finance and Administrative Officer. The Finance and Admin Officer will be responsible for supporting the efficient management of the organization’s financial and administrative systems. The role involves handling financial transactions, preparing reports, support procurement procedures, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with donor and organizational policies.

    Supervised by: Finance and Administrative Manager.

    Finance:

    • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely posting of all transactions.
    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and financial reports.
    • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and expenditure tracking.
    • Ensure compliance with donor, audit, and internal financial procedures.
    • Process payments, monitor cash flow, and maintain petty cash records.
    • Prepare supporting documents for all financial transactions.
    • Assist with external and internal audits.
    • Ensure all statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, etc.) are accurately calculated and remitted.

    Administration:

    • Support day-to-day administrative functions of the office.
    • Manage office supplies, assets, and logistics.
    • Ensure all administrative and procurement processes comply with internal policies.
    • Maintain proper filing and record-keeping systems for finance and admin documents.
    • Carry out any other duty that may be assigned by the CEO and Supervisor.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration. Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or administrative management roles, preferably within the nonprofit, development, or donor-funded sector.
    • Proven experience in budget preparation, financial reporting, cash flow management, and general administration.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Online QuickBooks)
    • Strong knowledge of financial policies, procurement procedures, and compliance standards.

    NOTE- There is no provision for relocation allowance, as candidates are expected to reside in Benue State.
