Job Description

• We are seeking a trustworthy, discreet, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to manage daily cleaning and household upkeep for our private residence.
• The ideal candidate will be experienced in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of all rooms and common areas (vacuuming, dusting, mopping, surface wiping)
• Deep clean bathrooms and kitchens, including appliances, sinks, tubs, and toilets
• Change bed linens and make beds; maintain overall tidiness in bedrooms
• Wash, dry, fold, and iron household laundry and linens
• Organize closets, cabinets, and storage spaces
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and household items; restock as needed
• Dispose of trash and recyclables properly
• Care for specialty surfaces (e.g., hardwood floors, marble countertops) as directed
• Follow household protocols regarding pets, security, and privacy
• Handle occasional deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., windows, baseboards, seasonal organizing).

Optional Responsibilities (based on household needs):

• Assist with light meal prep or simple cooking
• Run local errands (grocery shopping, dry cleaning, etc.)
• Water plants or care for household pets
• Assist with receiving deliveries or coordinating with vendors/service providers.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience in a private household or similar setting
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain discretion and confidentiality
• Good communication skills and a polite, respectful demeanor
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 25 lbs
• Must pass background check and provide references.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Long-term availability and commitment
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and use of eco-friendly products
• Experience with formal or high-end homes is a plus
• Comfort working around children and/or pets (if applicable).

Salary
N80,000 - N120,000 / month.
