Job description

• We're looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Organic Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our farm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing crop production, soil health, irrigation systems, and farm staff. Responsibilities:

• Manage crop production, including planning, planting, and harvesting
• Develop and implement soil health and fertility management plans
• Oversee irrigation systems and ensure efficient water use
• Supervise and train farm staff to ensure high-quality work
• Monitor and control pests, diseases, and weeds using organic methods
• Maintain accurate records of farm operations, including crop yields, input utilisation, and pest management
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement the farm's strategic plan

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in organic farm management
• Strong knowledge of organic farming principles and practices
• Experience with soil conservation, and integrated pest management
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
