Factory Operations Manager at H & Y Furniture Manufacturers

We are seeking an experienced Factory Operations Manager for our factory in Ikorodu. The successful candidate will plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee all manufacturing processes across departments, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards. The role also involves providing strong leadership and guidance to the production team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic plans, set performance targets, and prepare operational budgets to align with company goals.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, organize workflows, and evaluate production schedules to meet customer expectations and deadlines. Operate CNC machines and other factory equipment.
• Build a strong rapport with the production team, promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment, and set clear performance expectations.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and minimize rework costs.
• Recommend measures to reduce waste, improve production practices, and enhance equipment effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures (HSE).
• Provide overall guidance and direction for factory operations and lead the production team.
• Perform routine maintenance on factory equipment and escalate issues as needed to ensure no production downtime.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Master’s degree (M.Sc., MBA) or PMP certification is desirable.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience, with at least 7 years in a senior managerial role, preferably in a furniture manufacturing environment.
• Experience with furniture machinery, particularly CNC machines.
• Strong strategic and operational orientation.
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
