    Account Officer

    This is a full time role for an on-site Account Officer position based in Abuja. The Account Officer will be responsible for managing financial statements, analyzing financial data, handling the day-to-day financial transactions, and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The role also involves providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate accounts, and supporting the finance team in achieving organizational goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Process transactions by effectively and efficiently handling cash and credit card payments.
    2. Record all payments into designated databases.
    3. Promptly confirming payments and issuing receipts to client
    4. Manage HMO claims and reconcilliation
    5. Monitoring cash flow and managing office expenditure
    6. Manage daily balancing and reconciling of office accounts
    7. Enforce credit policies to ensure that defaulters and patients with extended credits pay on time.
    8. Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts
    9. Coordinate efforts with the accounting department to ensure that payments to suppliers are processed on time.
    10. Coordinate activities with the accounting department to ensure the creation of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
    11. Assist at the front desk in handling patient transactions
    12. Other related duties as and when the need arises

    Requirements and skills

    1. Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
    2. A Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a cashier or in a similar role
    3. Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Finance-related reports
    4. Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate and interpret financial data
    5. Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to resolve client issues effectively
    6. Outstanding Communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
    7. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in managing financial records
    8. Experience with accounting software and proficiency in computer applications
    9. Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in a health or diagnostics-related organization, is an advantage
