    Factory Accountant

    Job Responsibilities

    • Supervised Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable department. Ensured and maintained ethical accounting practices.
    • Developed timely monthly reports to control budget overruns.
    • Managed Accounts Payable and Receivable.
    • Analyzed financial accounts to provide detailed reports to senior management.
    • Maintaining all books of Accounts up to finalization under SAP ERP system.
    • Reconciling Bank books every month.
    • Preparation, verification, and submission of monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax returns.
    • Preparation of monthly stock statements, as required against Cash-credit limit sanctioned by bank and handling other day to day banking matters.
    • Computation of tax liability.
    • Maintaining the accounts of Customers & Vendors of the company, including handling all queries from them and reconciling their accounts.
    • Monitoring & releasing payment of all outstanding invoices after clearing the bills from respective departments and after making sure that goods are received in good condition and are as per requirement.
    • Coordinating with Factories and Branches for Inter - branch accounts management.
    • Maintaining Stocks by physical checking of stocks lying at factory every month and tallying them with the Accounts books and excise books.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and relevant degree.
    • Minimum of 6 years working experience.
    • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 3 or more years of related experience.
    • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards.
    • Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis.
    • Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data.
    • Experience with general ledger functions.
    • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
    • Additional certification (ICAN) is a plus.

    Skills:

    • Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Detail oriented.
    • Knowledge of accounting software (SAP).
    • Manufacturing industry background preferred.
    • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
