Job Overview

• We are currently hiring fresh graduates forEntry entry-level laboratory Assistants. These candidates support the laboratory team by assisting with the collection and preparation of samples from mining operations.
• This role involves following instructions accurately, learning new procedures quickly, and ensuring that samples are handled and prepared correctly for analysis. The ideal candidate will be eager to be trained, learn, detail-oriented, and capable of following orders effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect samples from various sources, including ore, crushed stone, and workshop production materials, as directed by senior staff.
• Prepare samples for analysis by following established procedures, including drying, grinding, and labeling.
• Ensure samples are handled properly and in accordance with laboratory protocols.
• Assist with routine laboratory tasks, such as measuring, mixing, and basic testing under the supervision of experienced staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment by following safety and cleanliness procedures.
• Support the setup and calibration of laboratory equipment as needed.
• Quickly learn and adapt to new procedures and techniques as instructed by senior laboratory personnel.
• Follow orders and guidelines precisely to ensure consistency and accuracy in laboratory work.
• Participate in training sessions and seek to improve skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Lab Science or a related field.
• 0 - 2 years work experience.
• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
• Fast learner with a willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to solve basic chemical equations.

Remuneration

• Salary: N80,000 monthly.
