    English, Literature & Phonics

    Job Summary:

    • We are looking for a passionate and experienced English, Literature, and Phonics teacher who can inspire students to develop strong language and communication skills. The teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that cover English language skills, literary appreciation, and phonetic awareness for students at different grade levels.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Instruction & Lesson Delivery:

    • Teach English language, literature, and phonics to students across different classes.
    • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to students’ individual learning styles and levels.
    • Integrate phonics into reading and writing lessons to improve literacy skills.
    • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and creativity through literature and writing exercises.

    Assessment & Feedback:

    • Assess students’ progress through quizzes, tests, and assignments.
    • Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills and literary understanding.
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance and learning milestones.

    Classroom Management:

    • Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
    • Motivate students to participate actively in class.
    • Implement appropriate behavior management strategies.

    Professional Development:

    • Stay updated on current teaching methods and curricula.
    • Participate in departmental meetings and workshops.
    • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.

    Communication:

    • Maintain regular communication with parents and school leadership on student progress.
    • Prepare reports and updates as required.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field.
    • Teaching certification (e.g. PGDE, B.Ed.).
    • Proven experience teaching English, literature, and phonics at primary/secondary level.
    • Strong command of English grammar, literature analysis, and phonics instruction.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate students to read, write, and appreciate literature.
    • Familiarity with modern teaching tools and interactive methods.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs.
    • Ability to incorporate technology into lessons.
    • Passion for continuous learning and self-development.
