    E-Commerce Manager

    Department: Sales & Marketing/Digital Commerce

    Reports To: Head, Commercial Sales/Group HR & Executive Management

    Location: Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria

    Job Summary

    The E-Commerce Executive is responsible for leading and managing Westgate Technologies’ online sales channels across all digital platforms. This role overseas the company’s e-commerce strategy, online store operations, digital merchandising, customer experience, analytics and revenue growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, analytics and online sales strategies – particularly within the ICT hardware, gadgets, consumer electronics, or retail technology space. 

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Oversee daily operations of Westgate’s online store (website, marketplaces, and digital platforms 
    • Develop and execute e-commerce sales strategies to meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets 
    • Ensure product listings, pricing, inventory and promotions are up to date 
    • Implement upselling, cross-selling, bundling and promotional strategies to improve conversion rates
    • Manage online budgets, ROI and revenue projections
    • Coordinate with IT and graphics teams to maintain website speed, UX/UI quality and overall platform functionality 
    • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate promptly to technical teams or vendors
    • Create and optimize product descriptions, images videos and technical specifications
    • Ensure accurate categorization, SEO optimization and brand consistency 
    • Work with marketing team to design e-commerce banners, landing pages and sales campaigns 
    • Oversee the end-to-end online customer journey 
    • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment 
    • Resolve escalated customer complaints, refunds and service issues 
    • Implement customer satisfaction metrics such as NPS, feedback loops and chat support enhancements
    • Track e-commerce KPIs: conversion rate, AOV, traffic, CAC, abandonment rate, repeat customers etc. 
    • Prepare weekly performance reports for executive management

    Please note that your employment is subject to a periodic performance contract with clearly defined Key Result Areas and Key Performance Indicators. 

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science or related fields
    • 3-5+ years experience in E-Commerce Management, preferably in ICT, tech retail, gadgets, consumer electronics or fast-paced retail
    • Strong understanding of digital commerce platforms
    • Solid experience with digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Business Suite, Shopify/Shopify Plus, WooCommerce and other SEO tools)
    • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills – ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
    • Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills 
    • Strong problem solving capability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
