Distribution Officer at an Agritech Company

Soupah Farm-en-Market is looking for a reliable Distribution Associate to serve as a link between the fulfillment centers and our customers.

His/Her role as a logistics/last mile associate is to organize the delivery of ordered goods. He/she will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost and be involved in transportation and monitoring the flow of goods. 

Understanding how to manage the entire order cycle is important so that you can coordinate it effectively and ensure sustainable customer satisfaction is very important.

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan and manage logistics for excellent customer services 
• Loads or co-ordinate the loading of delivery vehicles with products 
• use IT systems to manage delivery times and transport costs 
• use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle 
• Work with other fulfillment staff to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. 
• Ensure that company transport vehicles are maintained in good working conditions. 
• Develop cost reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity and quality. 
• Plan vehicle routes and schedule deliveries to meet customer needs. 
• Use specialist knowledge, such as mechanical-handling systems, to provide consultancy services when required 

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager or related field 
• The ability to drive vehicle and tricycle (with a valid driver’s license)
• Demonstrable ability to learn 
• Understanding of the road network and routes in the city (Ibadan, Lagos, ) 
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills 
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects 
• OND Holder in Logistics/Supply Chain or related fields
