Oversees project operations, including but not limited to human resources, logistics, procurement, subcontracts/sub-awards, and accounting/finances, including financial capacities of all TOs
Ensures compliance with USAID policies and procedures
Develops internal control measures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting at headquarters and field levels
Prepares budgets for annual workplans and financial reports for USAID/Nigeria
Conducts internal and coordinates external financial audits for all TOs
Builds capacity of headquarters and in-country finance and operations teams
Supervises finance, grants, and operations team
Any other tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in business, finance, economics, or any other relevant field. Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience in grant, business, finance, accounting, or any other relevant field can be substituted for an advanced degree.
Minimum of five years of experience managing grants for donor organizations. Experience with USAID grants management system highly preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to manage large budgets and client expectations.
Able to communicate effectively and excellent interpersonal skills to form effective working relationships at all levels.
High level of computer literacy.
Ability to deal appropriately with sensitive issues and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
