    Deputy Human Resources Manager

    Role Overview

    • The Deputy HR Manager will support the development and implementation of strategic HR initiatives that align with the company’s objectives.
    • The role requires a proactive HR professional with strong experience in recruitment, employee relations, policy development, and HR operations.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategy and Policy Development:

    • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the organisation’s strategic goals.
    • Collaborate with the HR team to review, improve, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HR guidelines, processes, policies, and frameworks.
    • Ensure all HR policies and procedures comply with national labour laws and best practices.
    • Keep the Employee Handbook updated, ensuring it reflects company operations clearly and comprehensively.
    • Advise management on employee and employment-related matters, including compensation, discipline, terms of engagement, change management, and compliance.
    • Represent the employee perspective in management-level decision-making and policy discussions.

    Recruitment and Onboarding:

    • Monitor hiring trends within the Health Industry and maintain an efficient internal system for managing vacancies.
    • Lead and support the end-to-end recruitment process, including job design, advert placements, interview coordination, selection, and onboarding.
    • Standardise job descriptions, interview templates, and recruitment documentation across roles.
    • Design and implement an engaging and structured onboarding programme that reflects company culture and values.
    • Oversee the offboarding process, ensuring smooth transitions, proper documentation, and valuable feedback through exit interviews.

    HR Operations and Employee Relations:

    • Maintain a well-structured system for employee records, leave management, promotions, and transfers.
    • Supervise the Compensation Specialist in payroll, benefits, and compensation administration.
    • Support continuous employee engagement and retention through training, recognition, and development initiatives.
    • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary issues, dispute resolution, and other employee relations matters in line with company policies.
    • Prepare and present monthly HR metrics and reports to management, team leads, and the Managing Director.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Professional HR certification (e.g. CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
    • 4 - 6 years of progressive HR experience covering recruitment, policy development, and performance management.
    • Proven experience in managing HR operations, employee engagement, and compliance.
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and design tools such as Canva.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

    Salary
    N300,000 - N350,000 monthly.
