    Credit Assurance Officer

    Job Roles and Responsibilities

    • Initiation of remita on customer's salary account or active business account and ensure monthly upload as at due date
    • Daily generating the expected repayment schedule on bankone, calling customers three (3) days before due date and repeating the calls on the due date
    • Ensure Loan officers feedback on their accounts repayment and escalate where there is a default
    • Collate and present repayment cheques of defaulting customers the next day of default after notifying the customer with or without feedback except alternative & immediate repayment arrangements has been advised by the customer. Refer to loan procedure for details
    • Collate and present repayment cheques of the guarantor of defaulting customer immediately the borrower's cheque returned unpaid and after notifying the guarantor on the day of default
    • Advise operations to liquidate Ajo customer or the guarantor cash collateral to liquidate the total outstanding loan
    • Identify defaulting customer's collateral for disposal after the cheque option above has failed and preparation of letter of notice of sales
    • Proactively advise on how loans in default can be settled with the presence of securities provided prior to disbursement and ensure follow up to execution
    • Proactively arrange your official communication of defaults to customers with the sign off of HOD and collate customers list for recovery intervention
    • Prepare letters of non-indebtedness upon confirmation of paid off and seeking for approval from the departmental head before dissemination
    • Back up for the Loan Processing Officer, Credit analyst & recovery officer as required
    • Daily progressive reporting that captures defaulting customers as at date (not for the date or period only) amount recovered, action taken and recommendation
    • Execution of other tasks as assigned by the head of the department

    Educational Skills and Requirements

    • A B.Sc. or HND from a reputable university
    • At least one year of work experience in a similar role
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal skills
    • Execellent organisational and time management skills
    • High level of accuracy and attentional to details
    • Must reside around the Island.
