Coordinator, Berth Planning and Terminal Operations
To drive day-to-day berth prospect agreements with terminals, focusing on the fast turnaround of vessels to meet network requirements. Monitors operational progress and drives proforma optimizations in collaboration with Network Execution.
Your tasks:
Vessel information and particulars received is submitted to NPA Onne to process provisional import bill and share ESEN with terminal operator.
Hard copy of Cargo Manifest to be physically submitted to Customs, NPA and NIMASA prior vessel arrival.
Process NPA receipt for berthing clearance with NPA Onne after when the Telex / Invoice shared by HL Lagos BA.
Process NIMASA bills for sailing clearance with NIMASA Onne after when the Telex / Invoice shared by HL Lagos BA.
Process and secure Customs approval for loading export full at Onne.
Share approved export customs clearance with Onne terminal.
Reconciliation of all discharge and load on each vessel for HL & VSP if any.
Attend Voyage and NPA/stake holders meeting and share feedback.
Attend and solving Customs/NPA related issues on vessel and export matters when the need arises.
Periodic visit to terminal ED/TD.

Your Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in marine studies, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, or experience as a Nautical Officer.
Proven experience in port and terminal management, with a focus on berth planning, port operations, and hub management.
Strong knowledge of port operations, vessel scheduling, and terminal activities.
Strategic mindset and the ability to develop and implement effective plans and initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive operational improvements.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards in port and terminal operations.
Familiarity with port and terminal management software and tools.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
