Content Creator & Storyteller at West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE)

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate video equipment.
• Create and edit video content for platforms like IG, YouTube, TikTok.
• Develop shot lists, record, trim footage, and create sequences.
• Add music, dialogue, graphics, and effects.
• Export and distribute videos for web and mobile.
• Implement new editing technologies and best practices.
• Manage video file archives and backups.
• Communicate brand knowledge and engage customers.
• Capture key brand moments and produce high-quality content.
• Record and edit voice-overs.
• Create multimedia content including scripts and storyboards.
• Manage content calendars and schedules.
• Monitor and analyse content performance.
• Stay updated with content trends and technologies.
• Collaborate on creative brand vision and direction.
• Document behind-the-scenes events.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Video Editor with digital technology and editing software (e.g., Final Cut, Premiere, Adobe, After Effects, Canva, Google Drive).
• Strong social media video editing skills.
• Knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity in editing.
• Familiarity with special effects and 3D compositing.
• Creative storytelling skills.
• Certification in content marketing and copywriting is a plus.
• Proficiency with iPhone, Apple Mac, and cameras.
• Portfolio showcasing content creation and storytelling.
• Degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field preferred.
