Consultant Paediatrician at St. Ives Specialist Hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions in infants, children, and adolescents.
• Deliver emergency care and resuscitation for critically ill children.
• Supervise, mentor, and support junior doctors, residents, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
• Promote preventive child health services, including immunization, nutrition, and family counselling.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
• Contribute to clinical research, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
• MBBS with fellowship in Paediatrics (WACP, NPMCN, or equivalent) and full MDCN registration required.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Medical Degree and completion of residency training in Pediatrics
• Valid medical license to practice as a Paediatrician
• Excellent knowledge of child health and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Empathy and compassion towards children and their families
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle stressful and challenging situations
• Availability for part-time work.
