About the Role

• We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Health Extension Worker to join our healthcare team.

• As a CHEW, you will play a vital role in supporting medical services, promoting preventive healthcare, and ensuring patients receive safe, quality, and timely care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and monitor health status, providing appropriate care and health advice.
• Perform routine clinical procedures such as checking vital signs, administering injections, and updating patient charts.
• Administer medications and treatments strictly as prescribed and under medical supervision.
• Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.
• Support doctors during minor clinical and surgical procedures.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of medical records.
• Adhere strictly to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols.
• Participate in community health education, sensitization, and outreach programs.

Requirements

• OND or HND in Community Health Extension or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years practical experience in patient care (post-qualification experience preferred).
• Valid registration and practising licence with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Prior pharmacy experience is an added advantage.
