Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality primary healthcare services to patients.
• Conduct patient assessments, including checking and recording vital signs.
• Assist with patient counselling and health education.
• Administer medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
• Work collaboratively with the pharmacy and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of OND in Community Health.
• Must possess a valid practicing licence as a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW).
• 2–3 years' relevant work experience in a community pharmacy, primary healthcare centre, or similar healthcare setting.
• Sound knowledge of primary healthcare services, patient care, and basic clinical procedures.
• Ability to take and document vital signs, provide basic first aid, administer medications as prescribed, and support patient education.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Must be professional, compassionate, and able to work with minimal supervision.
