    Communication, External Relations and Business Development Manager

    Job Summary
    Project Manage your own Youth Project:

    • Are you passionate about driving social change and empowering young people? Do you have a bold idea for a transformative program? Youth Development and Empowerment Initiative (YEDI) wants you—and your vision.
    • We are seeking a dynamic, committed, and creative Programs Manager to join our team and design, lead, and scale a new program that addresses one of the most pressing challenges faced by Nigerian youth.
    • This isn't your typical job posting. We're not just hiring a Program Manager—we're looking for a Changemaker ready to develop and launch a high-impact initiative within one of YEDI’s strategic focus areas.

    Our Area of Focus:

    • Health & Sanitation – Programs that improve access to healthcare, mental health support, disease prevention, and reproductive health education.
    • Climate Change – Initiatives that promote environmental sustainability, climate action, renewable energy solutions, and community-led conservation efforts.
    • Women’s Empowerment – Programs that support gender equality, economic opportunities for young women, Coaching, leadership development, and access to education.
    • Youth Unemployment – Solutions that provide employability skills, entrepreneurship training, and innovative job creation strategies.

    Requirements
    The Applicant must:

    • Hold a University degree with at least 5 years of working experience in the nonprofit or social sector.
    • Be based in Lagos, Nigeria and between 25–35 years old.
    • Have demonstrated experience and track record working in the program area of choice.
    • Present a clear vision for the proposed program to have a measurable impact on young people and fall into one of YEDI’s four focus areas. The program must represent scalability.
    • Demonstrate excellent sense of responsibility and discipline.
    • Be passionate about working with youths.

    All Applications should include:

    • A detailed CV
    • A detailed description of the social change program you would want to introduce, lead or develop for the benefit of young Nigerians.
    • At minimum, your program description which should include:
      • Problem Statement: Describe the challenge you are passionate about addressing. It must address one of the four challenges: Health & Amp, Sanitation, Climate Change, Women’s Empowerment or Youth unemployment.
      • Proposed Solution: What will be your proposed program’s goal and objectives. Describe how you as Program Manager plan to tackle the issue and how it may fit into one of YEDI’s existing core programmatic areas.
      • Please feel free to introduce or build on an exciting program or idea.
      • Target Audience: Identify the beneficiaries and geographical focus.
      • Implementation Plan: Outline key activities and timeline for the first six months. This is considered the “proof of concept “period fully funded by YEDI.
      • Monitoring and Evaluation: Indicate how you plan to measure program success with indicators.
      • Sustainability and funding: Include a plan for how you envisage the program to be funded beyond the initial six months funded by YEDI i.e. “proof of concept” period.
