Group Accountant at a Reputable Company

The Group Accountant will oversee accounting activities across multiple business units, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, regulatory compliance and timely consolidation of financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Review bank, supplier, customer and intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash-flow activities.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure appropriate accounting treatment of transactions across business units.
• Prepare management accounts and financial performance reports.
• Implement and monitor internal financial controls.
• Coordinate statutory tax filings and other regulatory obligations.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Monitor intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
• Supervise and provide guidance to accounting personnel across the group.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• ICAN, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5–7 years’ progressive accounting experience, preferably within a group or multi-business environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation and accounting standards.
• Experience preparing consolidated management accounts.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory ability.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Salary: ₦600,000–₦700,000 monthly
