Job Summary

• We are looking for a Video Editor Intern to join our Content Operations team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of hands-on video editing experience who is eager to learn, improve, and grow within a creative team.
• You will work closely with the Content Operations team to edit engaging video content for our digital platforms.

Reports to: Head of Content Operations

Responsibilities:

• Edit raw footage based on briefs and creative direction.
• Trim, arrange, and sequence footage for engaging storytelling.
• Add music, sound effects, captions, graphics, and basic effects where required.
• Make basic colour, lighting, and audio adjustments.
• Create rough and final cuts based on feedback.
• Work with Content Creators to bring creative ideas to life.
• Keep up with current video editing trends and techniques.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of practical video editing experience.
• Proficiency in at least one editing tool such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar.
• Good understanding of video editing, storytelling, pacing, and continuity.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
• Ability to receive feedback and work collaboratively.
• A portfolio of previous editing work is required.
• A background in Film, Mass Communication, Media, or a related field is an added advantage.
